GPT-4: An Evolutionary Step in Language Modeling, Not a Revolution

He also refuted rumors that GPT-4 would have 100 trillion parameters or be an AGI (Artificial General Intelligence).
Altman’s comments suggest that GPT-4 will not represent a radical departure from its predecessors. Instead, it will likely be an evolutionary step forward in language modeling technology, building on the successes and lessons learned from GPT-3. This means that while GPT-4 will almost certainly be impressive, it may not meet the sky-high expectations that some people have set for it.
